I’m not going to pull any punches here.
If you’re waiting to step into teaching or leadership until you feel ready, I want to tell you something that might shake you: you will never feel ready.
And that is not your failure.
The Lie We’ve Been Told
The greatest killer of women taking action on the visions held in their hearts is not a lack of knowledge, talent, or devotion. It is low self-esteem, deeply conditioned into us by the patriarchal structures we were born into.
From birth, we are groomed to believe that we are not enough. Not good enough. Not deserving enough. Not ready. This is no accident. It is an intentional campaign designed to keep us from accessing our holy power.
Look around: the majority of people doing grassroots spiritual work are women.
Yet at the top of the pyramid in the highest-paid, most visible spaces, the faces are still overwhelmingly male.
This is not a criticism of those leaders, but an acknowledgement of the invisible barriers that women, and particularly multiply-marginalised women, must navigate.
And yet... many of us have done the work. We’ve taken the courses, studied deeply, cultivated devotion, and worked on ourselves.
But here is the uncomfortable truth: The day will never come when you think, "I’ve solved the problem that is me. I’m ready."
You will have to lead anyway. You will have to feel the fear and move forward. Because you have freedom and privilege that others do not and that comes with a divine responsibility.
Why The World Needs You Now
We are living in chaotic times. But from chaos, new order can arise, if those who are called to lead have the courage to step forward.
Now is not the time to sit back, waiting until you feel good enough, empowered enough, qualified enough. If the vision is in your heart, if the call is alive within you, you are not only ready - you are divinely tasked.
Low self-esteem operates like an addiction. It keeps us endlessly preparing:
"One more course..."
"One more retreat..."
"Five more kilos to lose..."
"Then I’ll be ready."
But you will never reach that mythical state of readiness. What you will reach is the day when it’s too late. And I don’t want that day to come for you.
Now is the time to answer the call of your heart.
Teaching is Demonstrating
In the system we teach at the Institute for Intuitive Intelligence, teaching is demonstrating. That’s why our Certified Intuition Teacher Training Program confers the title Āchārya (Sanskrit for "the teacher who leads not only by words, but by action.")
To be a humble student of your own teachings is one of the clearest signs that you are ready. You do not have to be perfect. You do not have to have it all figured out.
Imperfect action is better than no action at all.
Keeping yourself in the shadows of the student archetype (hoarding knowledge, endlessly preparing) is a distortion of the sacred laws. Your spiritual self-esteem grows through service. Through taking your place. Through shining your light so that others have permission to do the same.
If you are not shining, you are darkness.
The Sacred Responsibility of Leadership
I know this may feel like a lot of responsibility. But truly, we are being asked to get over ourselves. To get out of the way and let the Divine lead.
This is not about eradicating fear. It is about meeting fear with humility and courage.
It is about choosing service over self-protection.
You do not need to be fearless, only faithful to the vision in your heart.
