The Missing Piece in Intuitive Intelligence: Why Self-Worth Changes Everything

Intuition·Ricci-Jane Adams·Jun 6, 2025· 6 minutes

If you are on the spiritual path, there’s a very good chance that intuition plays a role in your understanding of awakening.

You’ve probably heard a hundred ways people talk about intuition and how it works.
But here at the Institute for Intuitive Intelligence, our focus is very specific: we are not teaching intuition as a fleeting state or a tool to ‘dip into’ when you need an answer.

We teach intuitive intelligence — intuition as a refined, trained system that becomes a way of life, an embodied state of being.

And today, I want to speak to you about the one critical piece that is most often missing in this conversation — and why it matters if you truly want to awaken this highest form of intelligence.

Why We Must Go Beyond Gut Instinct

Yes, we all have a primal, biological level of intuition.
But if we are committed to going beyond gut instinct and living through our intuitive intelligence — the highest form of this power — there is one piece that must be in place.

And it’s not a crystal.
It’s not a meditation.
It’s not about opening your third eye.

It’s about a radical shift in perception of who and what you are.
It’s about becoming congruent — walking your talk — so that the inner life you lead mirrors your spiritual values.

The Missing Element: Self-Esteem

The missing piece is self-esteem — or self-worth, or self-belief.

It is almost never talked about in connection to intuition.
But it should be.

Yes — you can be intuitive without high self-worth.
But without addressing low self-worth, your intuition will stay stuck in the primal layer. You will not access the highest level of intuitive intelligence — that effortless state where intuition is a seamless way of being.

Because every place inside you that sits in low self-esteem will pull you back into doubt, fear, and ego identification.

Living as Infinite, Unlimited Consciousness

Spiritual awakening is the shift from the ego-identified self into the recognition of our inherent interconnectedness — the oneness of all consciousness.

But when we allow the ‘mean girl’ archetype to dominate, when we self-sabotage or belittle ourselves, when we let the ego crush our spirit, we cannot live in congruence with that truth.

We might say, “God is good,” or “All is one,” but then we hold ourselves apart from that truth through shame and low self-esteem.

Here’s the non-negotiable truth: When you are living from intuitive intelligence, you are embodying your connection to the God mind. Anything less is a lie.

You are the oracle.
And developing intuition without addressing how you perceive yourself simply won’t work.

Intuitive Intelligence Is a Path of Devotion

Unlike basic intuition, intuitive intelligence is a path of devotional spiritual awakening.

You don’t “do intuitive intelligence” when it’s convenient.
You live it — through consistent, disciplined action over time.

There is no magic bullet.
No crystal, no healer, no therapist, no course will do the work for you.

The path begins with this question: Am I willing to see myself as infinite, unlimited consciousness — and live from that truth?

That choice changes everything.
It is not for the faint of heart.
But all paths lead us home to this truth — whether we walk willingly or kicking and screaming.

The Choices You Make Matter

So how do we begin?

It starts with intentional living:

  • Curate your environment — surround yourself with people, practices, and inputs that remind you of your infinite nature.

  • Say no — to relationships, habits, and content that feed the story of smallness.

  • Take consistent action — small, daily steps matter more than the occasional spiritual high.

You don’t need a seven-day retreat in Costa Rica.
You need daily devotion — 5:00 AM or whatever time works for you — where you consistently build the muscle of spiritual fierceness.

Work with Fear — Don’t Let It Run You

Here’s the truth about fear:
It’s not the enemy of intuition. It is the messenger.

Fear shows us where we have forgotten that we are infinite.
At the Institute, we train fear hunters — people who work with fear, not against it.

When fear arises, meet it with curiosity: What is this fear showing me about where I am blocking my intuitive intelligence?

Tools like tapping (which we teach in our programs) can be simple yet powerful ways to clear fear and rewire the nervous system.

Consistent Practice Builds Spiritual Self-Esteem

To live in intuitive intelligence, you must build spiritual self-esteem — what I call spiritual fierceness.

That comes through:

  • Consistent devotion
  • Daily choices aligned with your highest truth
  • The courage to meet fear, again and again
  • Shifting perception away from negative self-talk and toward infinite truth

When you do this, your intuition moves from something you ‘use’ to a seamless, embodied state of being.

You trust yourself.
You trust your life.
You stay in trust — even when the mind wants to pull you into doubt.

Why This Is The Work

I often hear people say:

"I’m intuitive, but I can’t trust it."
"I get the messages, but I don’t back myself."

This is why self-worth is the missing piece.

Your intuition is guaranteed — it is hard-wired into your biology.
But without shifting perception, without building spiritual fierceness, you will stay in the cycle of doubt.

There is no power outside of you that will do this for you.
It is an inside job.
And it is entirely achievable — in this lifetime.

Final Invitation

If intuitive intelligence is the connection to infinite, unlimited consciousness — why would you want to check out of it?

You were never meant to “dip in and out” of intuition.
You were meant to live it, always.

And this is what we teach at the Institute:
To trust your intuition. To embody it. To live it through spiritual self-esteem.

This is the missing piece.
And it is available to you — if you are willing to choose it.

I’d love to hear from you:
What is one small action you will take today to align with your infinite nature?
What will you say no to?
What will you say yes to?

Let’s walk this path together — with fierce devotion.
