A few years ago, I wrote a book called Spiritually Fierce.
It’s a book that emerged from a deep desire to take intuition out of the new age ghetto. To move it beyond the patchouli-scented clichés and into a space where it can be respected as a legitimate form of intelligence. In Spiritually Fierce, I offer both a philosophy and a praxis for intuition development that is rigorous, trauma-informed, and entirely evidence-based.
Why does this matter? Because we’ve been sold a diluted version of intuition. One that reduces this sacred inner faculty to something that only works if you own crystals, draw oracle cards, or happen to be “gifted.”
Let me be clear: that is not intuition.
That is superstition dressed up as spirituality.
True intuition is an innate intelligence (your highest form of intelligence) and it lives in your biology. You’re born with it. And more importantly, you can train it.
The Science of Intuition: More Than The Third Eye
We’ve been taught to associate intuition with the third eye, and yes, there’s a role that part of the brain plays. But the real seat of intuition is the heart.
The heart contains 40,000 neural cells an actual brain of its own. This heart-brain communicates with the cranial brain, and through the work of the HeartMath Institute, we now know that the heart sends more information to the brain than it receives. That’s astonishing, and it changes everything.
Even more mind-blowing? The heart emits the strongest electromagnetic field in the human body and that field is how we connect to the quantum field, to the infinite interconnectedness of all consciousness. In other words, our heart isn’t just a metaphor for wisdom. It’s a transmitter of it.
Intuition is not mystical fluff. It’s quantum biology.
It’s how we make choices beyond logic. It’s how we connect to the greater knowing that lives within and around us.
Intuitive Intelligence Is The New Emotional Intelligence
We’ve seen the rise of IQ, then EQ. Now, it’s time for IQ 2.0 - Intuitive Intelligence.
