Let’s talk about the word God.
Of all the things I teach, this is probably the one that sparks the most resistance and I understand why. I use the word God instead of Source, Spirit, or the Divine, because to me, it’s the only word expansive enough to contain the truth of what I mean. Those other words describe aspects of God, but God is the whole.
God is our inherent interconnectedness, the unity of all consciousness, the oneness of everything. Nothing exists outside of God, which means everything is God. You. Me. The air between us. The space that holds the stars.
This isn’t a religious idea. I was raised around religion, but I was never indoctrinated with the belief that God was a being outside of myself. My understanding of God is not an external force, but the infinite field of consciousness that quantum physics also points to, the unified field that connects all that is.
Nothing we do happens in isolation. Every thought, every act, every vibration contributes to the health of the collective.
This is why service is the primary value of the Institute for Intuitive Intelligence. When we sit in meditation, when we breathe, pray, dance, or practice devotion it benefits us as individuals, but only whilst serving the whole.
Likewise, when we stay trapped in fear or anger, that too becomes our contribution. Nothing is neutral. Everything feeds into the field of consciousness.
The word God matters because it’s the only word that feels big enough to encompass that totality. There is nothing outside of this oneness.
When I say “You are God,” I mean you are not separate from that infinite oneness.
For many people, that idea feels uncomfortable, even blasphemous, because it removes the comfort of an external authority. If you are God, then who’s in charge? Who’s taking care of things when life feels too hard?
We often imagine God as a divine parent, the loving father who has it all under control. What if you are both the parent and the child? What if the same divine intelligence that made the stars also lives within you, choosing through you, expressing through you?
That level of personal responsibility can feel like a lot to hold. Yet it’s the key to remembering our true power. When we stop outsourcing our authority to something “above” us, we come home to our own divinity.
It’s comforting to believe we can pray to something external to intervene on our behalf but if you are God, you are praying to yourself. That means the responsibility to change, to heal, to act, is yours. You are the one capable of transforming your life, and by extension, the collective.
This isn’t punishment. It’s power. Divine responsibility is the greatest liberation we can experience. Because if nothing is separate from us, then everything we do matters. Every act of love, courage, and devotion ripples through the field, reshaping the whole.
When we understand that we are God, the entire framework of our existence changes. We no longer live as victims of circumstance. We live as conscious creators.
Think of a holograph. Even the smallest fragment contains the entire image. The same is true of us, each of us holds the entirety of creation within.
As Rumi said, “You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean in a drop”. You are not small. You are not powerless. You are pure consciousness in ecstatic motion. Everything you do contributes to the evolution of all. When I say “You are God,” I am not being sacrilegious. I am inviting you to remember who you already are. To release the illusion of separation. To take up your divine authority and act as the creator that you are.
We are the only ones who can change the world, because we are the world.
If this message resonates, and you’re ready to move beyond the illusion of separation and truly live from your divine consciousness, I invite you to join me for Spiritually Fierce: The Bootcamp for Intuitive Intelligence.
In this immersive training, you’ll learn how to awaken your intuitive intelligence, move beyond fear into self-trust, reclaim your divine authority, and live from the awareness that you are God. This is not theory, but complete practice, embodiment, and transformation.
