One of the most common archetypes I encounter when serving women on the spiritual path is what I call the slashy. You might recognise her. She's the one gathering certifications like beads on a string; Reiki practitioner / Breathwork guide / Quantum coach / Intuitive healer; and always on the hunt for the next modality that will finally make her feel ready.
She’s convinced that if she just finds the right training, this one will be it, then clients will flood in, her business will take off, and her confidence will catch up.
Sound familiar?
Let me be clear: if you’re here to serve, you’re entitled to be profitable. You’re allowed to build a beautiful, ethical business and be on the spiritual path. These things are not at odds. But this belief that “the next thing” will finally make you magnetic? That’s not truth. That’s doubt dressed up as productivity.
What I want to talk about today is this slashy identity, and why it’s stopping so many brilliant, powerful women from standing in the fullness of their spiritual self-worth.
The Problem With Leading With Your “What”
We’ve been conditioned to lead with our what; the modalities we’ve studied, the certificates we’ve earned, the systems we’ve memorised. None of those things bring the energetic certainty your clients are looking for. They don’t make people trust you. They don’t magnetise aligned students to your field. And they absolutely don’t dissolve the imposter syndrome that creeps in every time you scroll past someone else’s “successful” Instagram page.
And this is where we get stuck, collecting modalities like security blankets, hoping one will finally make us feel “legit.” Spiritual fierceness doesn’t come from your qualifications. It comes from your energy. It comes from your willingness to say, “I am the medicine. I am already enough.”
